Flash Fiction #3

A Bug's Life

After an hour's nap filled with awful dreams, the cockroach woke up to find he had turned into a man. "How dreadful," he remarked, and flailed his arms and legs in an effort to turn onto his chest. "How frail and useless these things are," he said, and continued to knock himself about until, by accident, he rolled off the top of the dresser and fell to the floor, snapping his neck. "Outrageous," he thought as he died.
